It only took a minute......
It did really and it was relatively painless. £26 was all it cost to put my name on a start sheet for a triathlon....
20th March 2011 - The Lake APR
Anyone fancy this?
The Lake APR is one of the traditional early season events, held on a circuit based around two laps of Scotland's only Lake (the Lake of Menteith). This year they are repeating the ladies race, the Lake APR "Feminine" for up to 30 riders. The Lake APR (Australian Pursuit Race) is a handicapped event, riders will be placed according to ability.
Entry is £15. There is an 80 rider field for the men and a 30 rider field for the women. You must have a British Cycling race licence (or suitable British Cycling membership) to ride these events is required, classified as Regional C under British Cycling rules.

You have got to get one or two of these....
I say 2 as once you get one you won't leave home without it, so you need a change or perhaps get the bundle :-).
Just lovely http://www.rapha.cc/vneck-base-layer £50 each or £125 for 3.

Photos
Finally managed to get some of the Mull 2010 photos uploaded to flickr if you want a laugh. More to come!
2011
A little late in the day to wish you all a Happy New Year but hey better late than never.
So fingers crossed everyone has started their training and they are back in the groove. There seems to be a renewed enthusiasm within the bunch this year and a few people are shedding the weight in attempt to hold the wheels this year. Time will tell if they are in for the long run or not!
I have made a couple of resolutions this year and I will try and stick to them. I want to get fitter and even race again as long as you promise not to laugh! I might even get back in the way of writing more here again as I am beginning to find some free time but please feel free to post anything that you think is fit for general consumption.

Mull 2010
Well I haven't been blogging for ages due to work and what with trying to organise a cross race. Having got over the failure I picked myself up for pilgrimage that is Mull. A cleansing of the mind so to speak!
I have been trying to upload some photos to flickr but I appear to no longer exist so am trying to get my access again! This image captures the essence of Mull! working from left to right we have Gordon, Aileen, Robert, Brian, Giancarlo and Sian. Bruce was still blow drying his hair at the time and David was the official photographer!
Looking good aren't we!

Braveheart Dinner
Great night, well in parts up until the auction..... Few stars around, but shame they didn't know there was an age group triathlon champion in the room.
